  • Kayla Shumway

    Pilates Instructor

Hi everyone, I’m Kayla! I come from a background in gymnastics but as I’ve gotten older I’ve found a passion for bodybuilding style lifting. I’ve spent the last few years learning and growing in the gym & I’m excited to take what I know and apply it to Pilates!

  • Cheryl Longinow

My discovery of Pilates has forever impacted my life. After ten years of personal practice, I decided to take my passion to the next level. I began my instructor training in 2014, and am trained in Essential and Intermediate Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Ladder Barrel. My training in Injuries and Special Populations has allowed me to work successfully with pre- and post-natal, knee and hip replacements, scoliosis and spinal fusions, and more. After an injury and recovery in my cervical spine, I have an empathy with clients. I am able to meet each person where they are, and, in spite of “limitations”, provide a safe yet challenging workout. I love Pilates and helping others discover the benefits of mind-body connection, stronger core, improved flexibility and strength. When I am not teaching Pilates, I am learning about health and nutrition, spending time with my husband and 3 adult children and grandson, or walking and biking with friends.

  • Steffeny Hanley

    Pilates Instructor

Steffeny discovered Pilates and quickly fell in love with it shortly after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Prior to Pilates, Steffeny had difficulty even walking due to the pain. Incorporating Pilates into her routine has not only decreased the pain, but has also enabled her to run around and play with her children and play tennis again. Pilates helped her manage her chronic pain, increase her overall strength and improve her balance and stability. She is looking forward to helping others discover how Pilates can improve their balance and flexibility, increase core strength and help decrease stress. She is able to adjust the workout intensity based on the ability and needs of the client. Steffeny also enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, reading, and learning new arts and crafts.

  • Mikel Brunsveld

    Pilates Instructor

From the start I have always been an active person. Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, Track & Field, Gymnastics, Ballet… there is very little I haven’t tried. In college I took classes in self-defense, yoga, weight training and weight training for women. Since being introduced to the world of lifting I have participated in seminars where I’ve gotten the opportunity to work one-on-one with athletes like Ed Coan. Health, nutrition and physical fitness are things that are extremely interesting to me. The human body and its capacity to perform, when we take care of it, endlessly fascinate me and boggle my mind. In 2016 I was diagnosed with a severely herniated C6/C7 with bulges in the discs above and below. Since then I have opted for less invasive and more holistic methods of healing. You are only as old as your spine after all. Through the wonderful world of Pilates I hope to positively impact the people I get the privilege to train. I have a wealth of knowledge from across many fields, my own life experiences and years of physical therapy. These are the things that will be reflected in my classes and I can’t wait to change lives. Other than health, fitness and Pilates, my passions also include all things art. I have a BFA and my house is littered with paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and many other creations. I am mildly obsessed with the Aerial arts. I’ve taken classes in Aerial Silks and the Lyra and have pursued the Yoga Hammock on my own. In my free time I sometimes model as another form of creative expression.

  • Julie Kline

    Pilates Instructor

I have an education and background in business management, focusing on financing higher education opportunities for adults. I have been active since a young age including softball and track and field. In my early 20’s, I started focusing on my own overall health and wellness by discovering Yoga, Pilates, Spin, Bootcamp style classes and Aerobics. In more recent years, as my love for Pilates has grown, I started adding traditional Barre classes in as part of my practice. Having my experience with mat Pilates, I was immediately impressed with Club Pilates and the balance of mat Pilates, Reformer and the Spring Board. As I signed up for an 8-pack membership, I quickly realized that was not enough! Upgrading my membership to an unlimited option was the best decision I had ever made with regard to my health and wellness! Practicing with, watching and learning from the instructors, I was in love with what was being offered and encouraged! So in love, I took a leap and entered into the instructor training program and started working as a part time sales associate! My instructor training is coming to an end and I am so excited for the opportunity to teach our wonderful members!

  • Mady Hollon

    Pilates Instructor

Growing up I was always active. I danced competitively as well as played softball for my high school and a select ball team. Now, I train in mixed martial arts and still play competitive softball. I have genetic issues with my spine and while in high school, I separated my shoulder. I took the time to let it heal but as soon as I went back to playing, I tore my labrum and froze my shoulder. I took a significant amount of time healing before returning to the game 3 years ago. Last year, I found out that my labrum was still torn and that I have zero curve in my neck. This causes a lot of pain and numbess on my right side. After trying everything, I decided that I would try pilates as active recovery from my intense MMA training. After my first session, I was able to go four days without any pain in my neck/shoulder and after my second session I was able to go an entire week. Needless to say I fell in love with pilates and how it helps my body. Because of this, I decided to go through teacher training to become an instructor and help others see and feel what pilates can do for them!
